Blind Pedestrians: Simple and Structured Urban Areas
此篇是針對盲人設計出合適的語音，輔助盲人行走於都市中，對於輔具的設計並沒有探討，指專注於何種的語音字彙描述周遭環境與指引對於盲人最有幫助。
對於我們的精障導航不太一樣，正在找尋切入點。
如果依照本論文的實驗方法，研究者走在盲人前接受口頭指引，並紀錄盲人給予的口語資訊，進行研究分析，如果用於精障導航是否能用類似的方法分析出合適的引導資訊？
不過本篇的研究方式，以8位盲人所提供的口頭指引，經過研究分類出不同的Guidance Functions，Traveling Situations，再以不熟悉的地方在進行實驗，再進行分析修改，是可以學習的地方。

"In anthropology, a common critique of the fieldwork is the danger of going native."
-沒有實際參與過真正長時間的田野調查的工作，很難了解從一個旁觀者變成native，一個真正的學者應該可以從自己的研究中找出一個客觀的角度切入，難道一個研究者過於的成為native，更了解更實際的問題，反應出來的不是真正的聲音？

-這句話在論文中反擊了我的想法，說出AR的好處，他無法過度的被內在者的意見影響，因為相處的時間太少(6到16天)，能仍保持相對的中立。

-雖然這篇paper有提到，在action engagement 要做一個正常的職員，當我在pizza hut做pizza的時候，我是經由就輔員的介紹，來參與這項工作，我也事變成正常的研究者了，並不是像論文中真正的insider.

當我們在每月開會的同時，通常和就輔員的對話中，會尋找在不同場域是否有不同的可能，可以說這些是 interview data，可能我們會發現，有些工作的狀況，如廚房內的切菜、清洗...等工作，要投入現有的科技產品，如PDA根本不能運用於如此惡劣的狀況，但也要等我們真正的進入這個場域才會得到這個資訊，在就輔員和我們討論的時候，我們也不曾想像有如此的狀況。當我進入那個潮濕又狹小走道廚房的時候，確實是有些挫折。
此篇在最後討論時，實驗階段利用30天收集正確GPS資料(learning)，但是如果使用者能在但是如果使用者能在30天收集正確的資料，以後犯錯的機率又有多少，在我們團隊實際接觸的個案中，有這樣的需求嗎？如果她大部分的時候都能走對，認知能力相對的已經高，父母也能放心，為何還要走失偵測。
本篇提到另外一個重點，如何自動決定使用者去過重要的地點，如自己的家、朋友的家、停車場，因為此篇paper強調的是完全自動化，沒有人工標定，光設定停留的時間無法決定重要地點，在紅綠燈停留的時間可能和你在停車場停留的時間差不多。
